The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra recently represented FNH-RI at the FutureFoodS infrastructure network online meeting, which brought together major food research platforms across analytical, technological, sensory and data categories. As FNH-RI European Coordinator since 2024, SUA Nitra introduced the research infrastructure to a wider European audience.
The activities of the FNH-RI were presented by Prof. Adriana Kolesárová, the European coordinator of the initiative, together with Ing. Lenka Kontšeková from the coordination team. The talk covered FNH-RI’s 23 national nodes, 100+ research institutions and three service pillars (DATA, FACT and TED), and the natural connection points with the FutureFoodS platform categories. It also highlighted the specific setup of the Slovak coordination hub as a unique strength of the European coordination: the AgroBioTech Research Centre and the Food Incubator SUA in Nitra under one roof, linking research infrastructure with a direct route to commercial application.
The FutureFoodS partnership is a Horizon Europe co-funded initiative with 86 partners across 29 European countries. This engagement reinforces SUA Nitra’s position as a visible European partner ahead of the next ESFRI Roadmap cycle.
