FNH-RI at the Animal Physiology 2026 Conference: Strengthening Cooperation between Slovakia and the Czech Republic

The Food, Nutrition and Health Research Infrastructure (FNH-RI) was presented at the international scientific conference Animal Physiology 2026, held from 15 to 17 June 2026 in Zaječí, Czech Republic. .

The conference was organised by Mendel University in Brno in cooperation with the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and other partners. The event also reflected the growing cooperation between Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as their shared efforts to build a connected European network in the field of food, nutrition and health research.

In her lecture, Prof. Ing. Adriana Kolesárová, PhD., presented to the community of physiologists and experts in biological sciences how FNH-RI transforms individual experiments into shared, reusable evidence. Through its three services – DATA, FACT and TED – FNH-RI supports making experimental data accessible in line with FAIR principles and opens access to shared laboratories, biobank panels and researcher exchanges across Europe. In this way, it contributes to addressing current challenges in the field of food, nutrition and health, such as obesity, the transition to alternative protein sources and consumer behaviour.

Conferences such as Animal Physiology 2026 create a valuable space for connecting national nodes, sharing experience and establishing new collaborations that strengthen FNH-RI within the European research area.
