Research in the fields of systems biology, genomics, and proteomics enables the characterization of new genotypes obtained through biotechnological procedures (biotech plants), as well as plant genetic resources using modern genomic and proteomic approaches. This allows for the identification of key components important for food and nutrition, monitoring plant responses to biotic and abiotic stress factors, and understanding plant adaptation mechanisms to adverse conditions. Ultimately, this will lead to more efficient breeding efforts and the regulation of plant cultivation conditions to achieve maximum and high-quality production.
